The YEPP/Parkdale public school Drug Awareness Skits! Thank you Students!

The Youth Empowering Parkdale Project is a collaborative project with Toronto Public health that aims to empower, educate and inform youth participants (13-15 years old) and the community at large with drug awareness facts through creative outlets such as theatre and short films. A mentorship model giving past participants the opportunity to train new registrants creates an exciting dynamic between younger and slightly older high school age youth in the parkdale community. The skits are completely scripted, directed, acted and promoted by the Y.E.P.P. youth and the first skit, the BET, has already gained widespread accolades for the content and strong messages of self improvement and community building. These skits were conceptualized and filmed in the fall 2010 spanning through the summer of 2011, the 2011 videos with the help of students at Parkdale Public school and health teacher Mr. Welland! Enjoy!
